Welcome to the Applied Behaviour Change (ABC) Laboratory! We are located in the Upper Campus Health (UCH) building in the Centre for Health Behaviour Change (CHBC). The ABC Lab is overseen by Dr. Heather Gainforth, Associate Professor in the School of Health and Exercise Sciences within the Faculty of Health and Social Development. As a lab, we are committed to conducting partnered research where the endpoint is application rather than just publication within five years.

Our research is focused on two areas

ABC Lab

Health Behaviour Change

IKT Guiding Principles

Integrated Knowledge Translation (IKT)

The ABC Lab respectfully acknowledges that the land in which we gather and conduct our work is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Syilx (Okanagan) Peoples.
